Gift of Life for Daddy

Hello everyone, my name is Armand. I am a nurse in America. Yes, I am a front liner in the war against the Covid pandemic. In my job, I take good care of senior citizens. I look after their food, medicines and well being -in short, I look after their lives- irreplaceable people's lives. I am a caregiver of the older generations. They are our precious grand parents, the ones who rocked the cradle of our beloved fathers and mothers. They are the ones who built the foundation of our present from the past. Without them, our parents wouldn't be here. And so are we. Tomorrow will be Father's Day. It is my great honor and pride to be at work to care for many grandfathers and fathers from all over and all races, beliefs and professions . I will be there for them to celebrate and remember and recognize their important role and their lasting contributions that molded us to be who we are today and made our world as well.  As I care and celebrate with them and their families and friends this on special day,  I cannot help but remember my own elderly father back home in Philippines. My Dad's name is Armando, he is turning 75 years old in 2 months. Daddy made his one and only visit to me in the States nearly 2 years ago when he was still a lot stronger. Nowadays, he mostly stays in bed at home due to his poor heart condition. He frequently suffers from shortness of breath, dizziness and palpitations. Daddy's doctor says he urgently needs to undergo angiogram and angioplasty to correct artery blockage complicated by heart failure so we may prolong his life. As a healthcare worker, I am considered by many as a front liner, but my being a front liner extends far beyond my work and on to my personal life.  As the only breadwinner of a  big family of 2 sickly old parents, a handicapped youngest sister, an older sister and 2 younger brothers; all of whom need medicines to live and function  in every day life; the vital support for their food, medicines and shelter I consistently send I thank God have kept them alive and well, until the sad news about my Dad's health came. My income is stretched to its limits when ever anyone of them gets seriously ill like now in the case of Daddy. I love my father. I will do my best to to try to save his life. Being on here at GoFundme, I hope and pray to raise half a million pesos or $10 thousand dollars for my Dad. Happy Father's Day to all!
