Hello family and friends

as you may know I’ve had a deep desire to go back to Hawaii since my last visit. The two weeks I spent there were so nourishing to my mind, body, and spirit. My time there felt short as I formed a deep connection to the land and so many wonderful people. Now that I know what awaits me I feel like I have some unfinished adventures there and want to go back for a week to explore places I didn’t have time for my last visit, nourish myself physically, and to take more time in an environment that caters to those who just want to spend time with themselves.

My travels have always been worth the investment for me, but right now there are things that I feel more rooted in and I’m choosing to prioritize investing in my personal endeavors instead. Still I feel a heavy desire in my heart to go back, the kind of feeling I can’t make peace with unless I at least try to find a way to honor it.

That being said, you may remember my birthday is 4 days away which is why I’m taking the opportunity to ask this of you. I’d be pretending if I said I don’t feel weird asking for money to go to Hawaii and if you know me well enough I’m sure you could think of a few reasons why. But, if you do know me that well then you must know what my adventures mean to me. And what it would mean to me if this year instead of buying me a gift, you would gift me with the chance of going back to the islands for a bit in September.
