Hi, I am Angie,Travis' older sister. Many of you know my brother Travis. You know that Travis lights up a room whenever he enters it and you will always be laughing. My brother, as you may know, lost his big toe in his right foot a few years ago. He has now been battling infection in the left foot since August. He has had three surgeries and he is no longer able to work. He is currently in Ohio State University hospital and the Drs are stating the bones in the toes are full of infection , and also cellulitis. They are talking about amputating from the middle of the foot down. This will be happening today or tomorrow. My brother lives with his amazing girlfriend Shauna who has been working two jobs to keep them afloat through all of this. She has been by his side at the hospitals when not working! I want my brother to be able to heal without the worries of bills. We are going to be filing for disability so that he will eventually have some money coming in, but if you have ever dealt with disability you know how long that can take. If you can not give monetarily, please all we ask for is prayers. Losing his big toe in his right foot was very hard, I can't imagine how it will be to lose most of his left foot. Everyone who knows the "Gierharts" know we are strong and with God we always prevail!
