Help a Disabled Trans Man Get to Safety

Hey friends, I’m Gideon. As the world changes around us so does my plans for this fundraiser. I’m a still a trans man in Pittsburgh, PA who is trying recover from taking a work from home job that ended up being a scam and financially decimated me. I also am dealing with uncontrolled seizure disorder that has left me with medical and ambulance bills.

I thought this would be the low point of my year, but then the election happened. I have an exit plan that I don’t want to go into detail with right now, but as my rights to life saving care and living as myself will be stripped away in January, I will be leaving the country for some time. I need help with visa costs and just daily living expenses until I start my new career abroad. As a trans man with multiple chronic conditions including EDS, seizures, POTS, PTSD, and multiple full spinal surgeries I can't safetly live in a country where I won't be able to recieve care or disability benefits for both my gender affirming care and my chronic conditions.

I know we are all horrendously broke, terrified, and in mourning right now. I know you might need help, too. But if you could donate or share you’d be helping me escape the horrendous future that awaits all of us marginalized folks, I would be greatly appriciated. I wouldn’t survive in a society where I’m made to detransition, and I want to live. I want to grow up to be an elder queer who can tell the youths stories about bravery and escaping our oppressors.
