Hi Friends and Family!

I have been trying so hard to decide if I was going to start this or not. I try to do things ON MY OWN but I am struggling and I’m asking for help if possible. If you cannot, please don’t feel obligated… I get it! Please send as many great thoughts and hopes our way! We’ll take those too!

Gidget has been my soul dog since she chose me while I was on a lunch break while working on the UWS in NY! She has traveled literally everywhere with me and even helped me propose to my partner, Sara! Many of you know Gidget personally… She has been the honorary supervisor of most vet hospitals I worked or work at and it’s hard not to like even her little side eye and sassy pants attitude she gives at times. She’s so loving and has made so many people smile DAILY!

I found a mass in her left anal gland and the doctors are pretty confident it is anal sac adenocarcinoma. I have done blood work and an ultrasound to make sure nothing has spread. Labs and ultrasound came back clear and. I need to get the mass out so it won’t spread. She is still very lively and acting great so I want to give her a chance before it spreads! I’ve been working in the vet field for over 20 years now and I haven’t made this decision for surgery lightly. I have talked with her doctor and other doctors and the radiologist and the board certified surgeon… I just can’t afford it unfortunately.
