Gideon…”the little warrior”

Hello My name is Lisa Losaw. I am fundraising for the most beautiful little boy my grandson Gideon Charles.

Gideon is a kind and empathetic 22 month old who has been dealt a tough hand in life. He has suffered with rare and debilitating medical conditions since birth. He suffers from a rare disease called FPIES or food protein induced Enterocolitis syndrome— a type of food allergy that affects the gi tract. This condition has disabled him as it affects every aspect of his development. He is unable to maintain/grow his body weight and height. He is delayed in speech, has limited gross and fine motor skills, is unable to eat a proper diet, and requires multiple therapies a week. Gideon also has recently been diagnosed with immunodeficiency, which makes him susceptible to severe illnesses. Due to his rare food allergy, he is required to get a gtube to help him grow and thrive. Gideon will be seeing many specialists in the fall such as immunology, endocrinology, ENT, FPIES clinic, and more at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to receive the best care from physicians who handle complex medical conditions.
