YES, I NEED YOU!!
Hello Friend, 

Thank you for your interest in my story, and for your time and patience in hearing/reading it. 

I am Rev. Gideon Mbui,  a Kenyan preacher, Pentecostal theologian and musician-singer; an ordained minister of the Gospel with the Foursquare Church denomination. I am married and a father of 4 stunning daughters. I am the 3rd of 6 siblings.

I am currently on a rather adventurous journey of faith as I seek to faithfully hearken to and follow God's call on my life, in pursuit of further theological and ministry training, with a vision and passion to train and nurture solid and impactful leaders both for the church and the wider community, adequetely equipped to be change agents in the Kenyan/African countryside, and in the city.

In a few weeks, I graduate with a MA Theology degree from Fuller Theology Seminary. This is no mean achievement at all, given the hurdles encountered along the way, eg Separation from family and a common-place lack of a steady supply of much needed resources and tools for the task at hand. Undettered though, I am earnestly planning on proceeding to the UK in a few months, to commence my doctoral(PhD) program of study at the University of Birmingham. BUT I first need to get back home to Kenya, for an opportunity to spend some time with my family, while attending to some ministry undertakings:  Preaching, teaching and singing, especially working with pastors. All this besides ardent  preparations for the imminent transition to the UK.

To realize this most noble Kingdom goal, I have realized how so much I NEED YOU, as my PARTNER in this venture. And this realization dawned on me so powerfully this past weekend during one of the ministry sessions at a Men's Retreat when the Speaker so convincingly ministered on the power of, among other things, Admitting that I need HELP. Admittedly, this doesn't come easy for me, as a rural Kenyan man reared in an extremely impoverished setting;  hence,  beset as I am with the compulsion to safeguard my dignity and maintain a 'decent pose'- all the time, at whatever cost! Now I see my wrong; I forthwith give up this crippling sense of dutifulness to be always 'well groomed', which quite so predictably feeds on a stubborn Fear and an Everest-sized Pride. For I can NOW see it ever so clearly: It's not ALL about me; it is about God's Kingdom-- and His vast vision, which is beyond any of my limitations, nor even any resourcefulness I may ever envision and/ or hope to harness. 

As such, would you kindly feel most welcome so you can engage and partner with me in mobilising monetary resources to cater for mine and my family's most pressing needs in the foreable future: Travel expenses to Kenya and then on to the UK, Family resources/immediate needs, Ministry engagement(theological/leadership training and music), UK Visa processes and then about 1 year worth of Tuition and living expenses once in the UK, towards helping me find my footing with as minimal difficulties as possible even as I prayefully trust the LORD and look to making inroads and connections towards facilation for the subsequent years of the program. 

Tentantively, I pray and hope to realize about $25,000 for the already enumerated items. With this amount, I can quite decently manouver my way, at least through the first year of study.
