Gideon Millard

My younger Brother Gideon died last week, just a year after being diagnosed with throat cancer. He leaves two children, Georgia, who’s only 10 and Josh is 18. As Josh is now 18, all the responsibility of the next of kin goes to him. This means we have limited options for applying for funding or bursaries for the funeral. We are doing our best, but as you can imagine, we are all shocked and devastated that someone so close to us, so young and vibrant, with such young children, is no longer with us. We are grieving, on top of still managing our day to day lives, we are overwhelmed with the financial reality of a basic funeral.

The funeral costs for the simple funeral held at Chelmsford crematorium are £3,836. We are still hopeful to receive some funding from the DWP, but this will only cover part of the costs, if we receive it at all. We would be grateful for any contribution towards Gideon’s funeral. We would like to give Gideon the appropriate, respectful and memorable send off that he and his family deserve.
