Gideon Babani

My name is Hagit Arieli-Chai; this fundraiser is for the children of my first cousin Gideon Babani, z"l, who was brutally murdered in his home at Kibbutz Nirim on October 7, 2023. He left behind four children—Eliya, Lior, Maor and Dana--and beautiful grandchildren whom he supported. Gideon's father and my father were siblings.

I'm helping his children raise money for Gideon’s burial and memorial ceremony as well as to help offset his children's expenses while the mourn their father during Shiva and through the period of shloshim (30 days). Everything has been delayed from "normal." His oldest daughter Eliya is struggling to pay for the funeral and burial as well as the day to day expenses of the extensive family whom he left behind. Initially, these funds will be used by the four children to pay for their family's' needs during this period of mourning, and will be then used to provide therapeutic support for the grandchildren moving forward.

The fund will be received directly to me and i will transfer the funds directly to Eliya's bank account in Israel.
