Northern Family Island Hurricane Relief Fund
Donation protected
My name is Evante Gibson, I am a native of Freeport, Grand Bahama.
Just a few days ago, this Islands of Grand Bahama and Abaco were devastated by a catastrophic hurricane. The destruction left in this record breaking storm is indescribable and has left many with nothing but the clothes on their backs. As a national swim team member and fellow Bahamian who has family members on both islands, I cannot sit back idly and do nothing while many suffer.
Hurricane Dorian was a category 5 storm the left almost 85 percent of Grand Bahama underwater, and left the the Islands of Abaco in ruins. The combination of high winds and storm surges has damaged or destroyed thousands of homes.
The people of the northern Bahamas have a long road to recovery ahead of them but this can help start the healing process. Any donation that you are able to make directly supports the lives that were devastated on both islands. ALL PROCEEDS, down to the last penny and item will go to those who were affected by the storm in the northern islands of the Bahamas.
If you would rather donate to another reputable GofundMe, another organization, or just physical goods instead, listed below are the addresses of trusted sources accepting and distributing donations.
