Dear Friends,
I trust this message finds you well.
Following our recent reunion, Eric Golden approached me with a touching initiative that stemmed from Jessica Gordon's idea. Dan Gibney is in need of dental assistance and would never impose on anyone. She suggested that we could chip in to help him cover the costs associated with getting some new teeth. I thought it was a fantastic idea!
I spoke to Dan about it and he expressed deep gratitude and was genuinely moved to tears by the offer. He confided in me about how his current dental situation has significantly affected his confidence when interacting with others, particularly in terms of smiling. After consulting with dentists, it has been estimated that the necessary dental work amounts to approximately $8,000. While insurance may cover a portion, I am reaching out to our community to see if anyone would like to contribute to this meaningful cause.
Your support would mean a lot to Dan, and any contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference. I understand the sensitivity of this matter and appreciate your kindness in considering it. If you are able to contribute or know someone who might, please let me know. It is a sensitive topic, so please use your discretion in any discussions you may have within our Chateaugay community about this. I am not doing this on behalf of Camp Chateaugay, rather I am undertaking this initiative, that I am calling "Gibney's Smile" personally as one of Dan's friends and admirers.
Thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration.
Much Love,
Mitch
