Gibbs Needs Your Help After Surgery
Donation protected
Gibbs is more than just a pet—he is my heart and soul. The bond we share runs so deep that I would move mountains to see him happy and healthy.
Several years ago, he was diagnosed with an immune-mediated disease that impacted his blood cells, bone marrow, neurological system, and, more recently, his kidneys. Treatment has included compounded mycophenolate, prednisone, telmisartan and Visbiome for his kidney health, as well as a specialized renal diet and various over-the-counter medications.
As a responsible pet owner, I maintained pet insurance for Gibbs for nearly ten years. However, in December, Nationwide discontinued his coverage due to rising veterinary costs. Consequently, all of his ongoing medical expenses are now paid out of pocket. Despite not having a monthly insurance premium, the costs of his medications and rechecks now exceed what his insurance previously covered each month.
Approximately a month ago, Gibbs required emergency surgery to remove his gallbladder due to a blockage, which posed a serious risk to his life. The surgery cost was $2,000. I am seeking to raise funds to help offset some of these expenses. Gibbs has since recovered well.
I am extremely grateful for everyone who stood by us—those who diagnosed him, operated on him, and supported us through his recovery.
Now, I humbly ask for your help. Any donations will go directly to his medical expenses. If you can’t donate, sharing his story means the world to us—spreading hope, love, and a lifeline for Gibbs. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, sharing, and caring.
