Howdy! My name is Jenna and this GoFundMe was created with the intention of raising funds for my aunt Gianna. Several months ago she became fully paralyzed and was rushed to the ER where it was discovered she had an abscess on her C3 (an abscess in the cervical spine). The surgery went well, but to recover from something like this and gain mobility, she would need physical therapy. By her own sheer strength and willpower she has achieved movement in her arms and upper body but is still unable to walk. The supposedly "skilled" nursing homes that she has been discarded to, have not given her the treatment she needs to regain mobility, despite it being promised. They have not treated her as a human being and "didn't even notice" a large wound starting to form on her thigh. They are threatening to send her to a homeless shelter if she can not afford a, per day, 25% copay in another nursing home. This situation has been incredibly hard on my family, and we would appreciate anything you can give, even if you just get the word out!
