update -For those unable to attend the funeral service of Giacomo Modica Giacomo Modica on Tuesday 9am at Mortonhall Crematorium.

This will be streaming live on Tuesday 3rd June at 9am, and will be available for 28 days 2/3 days after the service.

We hope that many of you will still be able to attend @ Mortonhall Crematorium, to ensure a beautiful send off for our friend.

We will also be holding a short personal service at the reception after the funeral at craigentinny community centre, at around 10.15am

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sad passing of our good friend Giacomo Modica he was a cherished well known member of the craigentinny community. He brought so much love and light into the lives of so many young people over the years, with volunteering his time running St Ninians Wednesday youth club, again volunteering his time and dedication as chairperson for Craigentinny community centre for many years, as well as Chairperson for Craigentinny / Lochend Community council. Giacomo certainly had a great passion for his local community within Craigentinny & Lochend and this needs to recognised and celebrated.

As we come to terms with Giacomo’s passing, we are faced with the difficult task of arranging his final farewell.

Sadly Giacomo’s family have not been traced, as his friends we want to give him the dignified and heartfelt send-off he deserves.

We would be very grateful of any donations to help make this happen. (Date will be shared very soon)

Additionally any surplus donations will be donated to craigentinny community centre where Giacomo volunteered his time for so many years.

Giacomo will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
