As many of you have already heard, the love of my life, Jaime was recently diagnosed with a Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath tumor. It is a result of the radiation that she had after the removal of her desmoid tumor over a decade ago. There was a 1/2 of 1% chance that the radiation could induce a malignant tumor and unfortunately, that nightmare is upon us. Jaim has underwent 3 rounds of chemo therapy since November 17th in a hope to destroy any cancerous cells that did not show up on the CTscan. The tumor is currently categorized as Stage 2/ Locally Advanced. The major positive is that, based on the scans and what they can deduce, the tumor has not metasticized. That's good news! Jaim, after careful consideration has decided to take several doctor's reccomendations to continue with the proactive course of undergoing chemotherapy to combat any chance that cells, unfound by scans would be killed.  GI Jaim will likely undergo surgery in early February to resect the mass from her leg.  

Although the road ahead will be tedious on all accounts, Jaim is approaching the treatment with rigor and verocity, determined to return to form in the relatively near future. With the love and support of all of you in addition to our world, Elle, we are confident that all will work out in time.   While we are trying our best to stay afloat, we realize that there are many people that would like to help in anyway that they can.  Without a steady income, the medical bills are certainly piling up.  We are approaching 50k in medical bills and it will likely double in 2017.  We are trying hard to get financial assistance through Memorial Sloan Kettering and will know more towards the end of January.  We are very proud people and have always worked hard to provide for ourselves and help those in need.  The reality of the situation is that there is no way we can do this alone and many of you have requested this page.  It has taken everything in my being to actually create it and it is done so with much reservation.  Please, please, please DO NOT feel obligated by any stretch to help financially.  Your friendship and well wishes are plenty sufficient.  We love you all and thank you so very much for all of your well wishes.
