Maddy Soth

Hi, my name is Maddy Soth. I have been battling Chronic Neurological Lyme Disease for the last year and a half. Two years ago I was a junior at Southern Methodist University, looking forward to my senior year and graduation. Unfortunately I had to take this year off to fight my illness.My chronic illness has shaken the earth beneath me and completely transformed life as I knew it. I went from a carefree, outgoing 21 year old girl to having to remind myself how to walk, talk and even breathe. Chronic Lyme has affected virtually every system in my body.

Unfortunately the CDC does not recognize Lyme disease as a chronic illness and insurance does not cover the treatments. This has left me and my family in a place of uncertainty and despair in regards to our future ability to heal me. Treatments that work do exist and with your help I can get better and return to school. I will be forever grateful to you Thank you so much
