Help Support My Grieving Family

I’m Chenika and I’m the daughter of Marvin and Andrea Pierson. My parents are two of the most caring parents I know. They have dedicated and sacrificed more than I could even note.

After a yearlong battle of my mom trying to advocate on our dads behalf for him to receive better healthcare, we tragically lost the leader and the provider of our family on December 21st. My dad was a kind and compassionate person who was always first in line to help anyone in need. He was always volunteering his services, cooking for others, and asking what else he could do without expecting anything in return. His smile, laugh, loving ways, tasty recipes, and humble personality will be forever engrained in our hearts. The life he lived impacted so many and we are beyond grateful to have called him our father. I know this news is hard to take–if you knew Marvin Pierson, so I ask may you please keep his soul in your prayers. I created this GoFundMe page, not to beg, or just ask for money, but as a solution for a daughter who is out of options and doesn’t know anyway that I can help make this easier on my family, especially my mom during this storm.

As you can imagine, the weight of all of this on our mother Andrea is unbearable. Our mother has had the heartbreaking task of trying to comfort her 7 children, while taking care of her disabled sister, and processing losing her soulmate of over 30 years. Our mother has to learn to live in a world without a husband, father, mechanic, cook, handyman, provider, and leader. Please, if you will be willing to help us in the way our father would have help others, it will absolutely assist us to lay him to rest in peace, while being able to see some type of light at the end of this tunnel, as well as assist with ongoing expenses.

There are no words to express what we are going through during this time. Not only do we have to mourn, but also we have to carry the burden of handling the abundant amount of ongoing expenses.
