Bella's Medical Bills

Bella Huschitt is a sophomore at Dartmouth College, where she is a member of the varsity women's rugby team. Bella is a strong player, and in fall 2021, helped her team to an undefeated 9-0 season and NIRA National Championship. Her teammates and friends know her as a kind, caring, and hilarious person who brings so much joy to the people lucky enough to love her. Bella is also a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at Dartmouth. She is originally from Colgate, Wisconsin, and is a 2020 graduate of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in Milwaukee. She plans to major in psychology modified with linguistics and hopes to one day become a Physician's Assistant.

On May 15, 2022, Bella was the victim of a freak accident that broke her spine and left her paralyzed from the waist down. Since her accident, Bella has already been making extraordinary progress toward recovering her mobility, but her healing process will be long and arduous. She has spent almost two weeks at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, including a week in the ICU, and will soon be transferred to the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, MA, to receive world-class physical rehabilitation. We are so excited to witness Bella's recovery but are also deeply aware that it will come at a steep financial cost. With this in mind, we are asking for donations to help Bella's family pay for her medical bills. Any amount will be deeply appreciated. All money raised from this fundraiser will be disbursed directly to Bella's mom to help defray the cost of her medical expenses, including her hospital stay, physical therapy, and the cost of equipment to aid in her recovery (back braces, wheelchairs, canes, etc.).
