Running for Jack
I am running a Virtual Marathon on the 1st August 2020 to raise funds (Aus Dollars) for a special family close to my heart and their very sick little boy, Jack.
On Tuesday the 26th May, my dear friends, Louise and Gary Stevens received the shattering news that their beloved Jack had Leukemia. Jack is the youngest of Louise and Gary’s three boys, and just turned 3 on the 12th June.
Gary and Louise are both health care professionals living in Perth Australia. Louise is unable to work currently and Gary has cut his hours to be at the hospital all the time. Both taking shifts with Jack and their two boys , Josh and Oliver.
As a result they are suddenly without the income they need to sustain school fees, mortgage, food and most importantly medical costs for Jack’s treatment.
Jack’s treatments have begun and this little boy still has a long road ahead of him. He has JMML which is a rare form of Leukemia. After starting chemotherapy, Doctors are now searching for a match for a stem cell transplant. At this point, not a lot is known about his future treatment, the time it will take or even the locations where it will occur.
I will be raising funds alongside Louise and Gary’s family and friends to help keep this special family going. All funds raised will go directly to the Stevens family for any needed travel for treatment and living costs.
Please sponsor my Virtual Marathon on 1st August and help Jack
