Hello Golden Colorado Baseball Community!

Many of us (parents of Golden baseball players) have tremendous pride in both our youth (Golden Junior Baseball Association: http://gjba.net) and high school (Golden High School: http://www.goldendemonbaseball.com) baseball programs and want to help improve and grow them to benefit our kids and the larger Golden community.

Please join us in supporting our first goal, replacing our batting cage facility at GHS for the benefit of both youth and high school players.

The note below from our new Golden High School Head Baseball Coach, Jackie McBroom, pictured above with his kids, provides additional details...

"My name is Jackie McBroom, 1st year head baseball coach at Golden High School. I am reaching out to the Golden community to ask for your support. We are in the process of fundraising $13,000 to update our current facilities to not only benefit the High School but our youth programs as well. Our current outdoor batting cage has become a safety concern to players and coaches and we are planning to build 3 covered baseball cages in its place but need your help.

Our goal is to begin the construction in Spring 2016 so that the 2016 GHS baseball team has the ability to benefit from these cages, and they are in place for our summer teams and camps for youth programs. As the head baseball coach, I believe it is important that we are not only improving high school players but also youth that will be the future of our program.

Our overall goal is to help our youth baseball players become good men and great community members. I would like to thank everyone in advance for all donations and helping Golden Baseball continue to build a strong program. Golden is a great community and I couldn't think of a better place to raise my family."

Some common FAQs:

Q. Are the cages only available to the GHS team? If not, for who? Are they open to public?
A. Cages will be available to the Golden baseball community (GHS and GJBA youth teams). They will not  be open to the public.

Q. Is it a token based system? How much?
A. There may be one pitching machine donated, still tbd.

Q. What are the hours of operation?
A. Exact times tbd and variable based on GHS schedule. GHS baseball coaching staff will set up a process and manage requests from GJBA youth teams.

Q. Where are the cages located?
A. GHS baseball field.
