As most of you know, our friend, Kim Peacock is facing the battle of a lifetime. Kim has been quietly receiving radiation treatments for many months, but cancer is an ugly disease and does not give up easily. The time has come, when doctors have recommended more aggressive measures, requiring Kim to travel back and forth to the treatment center in Clearwater, FL. Unfortunately, a good portion of the treatments are not covered by insurance, nor are the travel expenses and hotel stays.

Kim is private, she doesn’t like to be the center of attention. She lifts other people up, she is a ‘giver’, she is generous in spirit! But, she cannot do this alone and there are so many of you who have asked how to help.

First and foremost, PRAYERS! Kim is putting Faith over Fear! Please join me in praying for Kim’s healing, for her son and husband, for their finances and that one day soon we will be able to celebrate Kim, kicking our butts on the tennis courts again. Or seeing her cheer on Ben at his football games, fishing with her family, traveling, spending time with friends and doing all the things that we know she loves.

Secondly, if you would like to make a financial contribution towards the unexpected and profound costs that come with fighting cancer, I have created this Go Fund Me page. Proceeds will go 100% to the Peacock family and help with many expenses, including hotel nights, out of town meals, gas, supplements and the incidental costs of treatment that are not covered by insurance. (If you have hotel points to donate, Kim may also be able to put those to good use.)

It has taken time for Kim to accept that people want to help her, in any way that we can, but she is still very humbled by the idea. If you share the Go Fund Me link, please do not tag her on social media. Kim will have plenty of time to update people and acquaintances in the Facebook world, when she is healthy, but for now, she needs the time and energy to heal and focus on her family.
