Nova's Cancer Surgery

Hello. My name is Dakota, and I am swallowing my pride for the betterment of my fur baby. It brings me to tears knowing that right now I am unable to help my boy, Nova. He is a black lab and was born on the side of Sooke Road on September 16, 2014, and I fell in love with him when he chose me from a litter of puppies ten years ago. He is the nicest, most gentle, and loving dog you could ever meet, and he needs help right now with his cancer surgery.

He has a large cancerous mass on his front leg, as well as a few other bumps on his abdomen. The vet said it will cost anywhere from $1500–$2500 for the large lump, not including the smaller ones, which I want removed at the same time for a better chance at a full, long life. They do not offer any payment plans. After his surgery, I will need to take time off work for a week to care for him, as I do not have adequate help for his recovery, and I want to ensure he is healthy before returning to work.

I hope this can be a quick turnaround, as he needs the surgery sooner rather than later.
