As some of you know, I tend to take in animals in need of medical care and homes. This campaign is for my latest foster, Ghost.
Ghost is a 9 month old, male neutered Jack Russel Terrier mix. He came into my work yesterday after being hit by a car. He has multiple pelvic fractures, one of them needing surgical repair.
The previous owner could not afford the medical care needed to keep him comfortable overnight or the surgery. He was considering humane euthanasia. Instead of having this puppy euthanized, the owner surrendered Ghost to me.
I am asking my community, and beyond, to help me pay for his surgery. Being that I work in the field of Veterinary Surgery, I receive a considerable discount on services needed. However, this procedure is very expensive.
Any money donated will go to cover his surgical expenses and post operative needs. If there are any funds left over, they will be donated to the Veterinary Care Foundation for PETS Referral Center. The VCF fund is in place to help clients get care for their pets at our hospital when they don't have the money needed for services.
As some of you know, I am an RVT. I have been rescuing and rehoming animals my entire life. For the past ten years, my focus has been on animals with extreme medical needs. I have placed all of my fosters into loving homes. This little buddy is also in need of a home. I will get him through the most difficult part of his recovery and then place him. If you or anyone you know is looking to adopt a small, JRT mix, please send them my way.
Thank you so much for your time, and donations. Myself, my coworkers, and these animals are eternally grateful.
