Hospice Care Help

Hi everyone, my name is Amber and my father, Frank, was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer at the end of 2022. Within the last few weeks, his condition has become very grave. My sister and I are trying to get him out of his home and into a Hospice Community House. His current living conditions are unbearable and we do not have the ability to care for him in our homes. Medicaid will not cover the $ 300-a-day room and board cost for him to stay in the facility. We are desperate to get him into a safer and cleaner environment for him to live out the rest of his time with us. The doctors are saying he likely has a month to a month and a half to live and waiting on a bed that will accept the poor insurance he has may take even longer than that. We simply do not know where to turn. I appreciate you all taking the time to hear our pleas and anything you can do to help would be a blessing. Thank you.
