Urgent Help Needed: Get Magnolia Thunderpussy and Her Tow Vehicle to Burning Man!
Dearest Friends, Fellow Burners, and Art Enthusiasts,
My name is Jennifer Cull, and for the past three years, my passion has been poured into my Mutant Vehicle project "Magnolia Thunderpussy," a giant metal pangolin . Magnolia is more than just a moving sculpture; she's a dream on wheels, built to:
- Raise awareness for endangered pangolins: These beautiful creatures deserve our attention and protection.
- Visually entertain Black Rock City: I envision Magnolia as a beacon of art and wonder across the playa.
- Bring joy to the children of Kidsville: Providing unforgettable rides is one of my greatest rewards.
- Fulfill a lifelong artistic dream: Creating a moving sculpture for thousands to experience is the culmination of years of dedication.
It's been an incredible journey, and Magnolia is so close to completion. However, a significant and unexpectedchallenge has emerged. My tow vehicle, a previously reliable van, has developed mechanical issues, and local mechanics have been unable to troubleshoot it effectively.
As a cash-strapped artist, every penny I've had has gone into building Magnolia. These unforeseen mechanical failures, hitting both my Mutant Vehicle and my tow vehicle at the same time, have left me in a difficult position with no reserves for repairs.
This is where I humbly ask for your support.
We are launching this GoFundMe campaign with a goal of $2,000 to cover the immediate and crucial cost of towing the van to mechanics who can properly diagnose and repair it and ensure it is road worthy enough to both drive to Black Rock City but also safely tow Magnolia to the playa.
Our aim is to get the vehicle road-ready and playa-bound in time for Burning Man this August!
