Help dad (Pete) fight the fight!

It’s taking me a lot to write this but I know it’s something I need to do.

My dad has always been one to help others without any questions and now it’s time for me to help him.

After having Covid back in January, we saw a huge decline in my dads health, we weren’t sure if it was long covid or something else. He tried to get Dr apts, but he couldn’t till late June. Fast forward to May, when we had finally took him to the emergency room, we found out some devastating news. My dad had Stage 4 Kidney cancer. We did not expect this at the time so it was a huge blow. We also found out that this type of cancer doesn’t take to chemotherapy so he would be taking the journey of immunotherapy that is not fully covered by insurance. This cancer is also not curable, immunotherapy is meant to extend his life and keep him comfortable.

These past few weeks have been filled with dr apts, numerous scans and weekly outpatient infusions along with lengthy hospital stays.

Dad has been unable to work since he’s been sick and we just found out he doesn’t qualify for social security disability. The first of his hospital bills and infusion bills are coming out and we want to try and help dad pay them off and his monthly house bills that he still has while he can focus on getting healthy. Anything you can donate will help greatly and we appreciate it more then anything to help dad in his journey.
