Zeus’ Operation

Zeus… ❤️

3 weeks ago Zeus and Bambi were playing and Zeus landed awkwardly on his leg. We took him to the out of our emergency vet to have him checked over as he wasn’t weight-bearing on his paw/leg. The vet assured us that she was 99.9% certain there was no break or fracture and that it was muscle damage and that Zeus was to continue weight-bearing on his leg and continuing his daily activities to help him recover….

Fast forward to Monday and myself and Louis took Zeus to the vets as we still weren’t happy with his progress. Wednesday morning he had some x-rays done which has confirmed that Zeus has a severe displacement fracture to his left elbow. The vet has said that Surgery will be needed but due to the severity of the fracture his x-rays have had to be sent off to a different surgeon for assessment. If the surgery will not fix the fracture they will look at amputation to his left leg

Zeus is only 17 weeks old and anybody who knows us knows how much our fur babies mean to us . Zeus in himself is extremely happy and is on some strong medication and strict crate rest. We are devestated for him and just want what is best for Zeus in the long run. I have and still am crying lots, the children are understandably upset and we are obviously angry that this was overlooked when we raised concerns several times but went on the Vets recommendations.
