Our mom, Nellie Redmond, was a kind, loving, and caring woman. She went to be with the lord on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. We are seeking donations to help with our mom's memorial service and final expenses. She did not have an insurance policy, so our family is responsible for her final costs. In life, she gave freely to all in need. She would pray for those who were sick and would hug anyone who needed to be uplifted. Finally, her loving and giving heart gave out on her after battling a-fibrillation (AFIB) for years.

Our mom's start in life was filled with trauma and tragedy. Her mother died when she was very young. She spent time in and out of foster homes and eventually ended up in a children's home. Her twin boys passed away when they were just one day old and she struggled financially. Despite growing up without a mother, she centered her life on being a good one. She raised us seven kids with her whole heart. We were her pride and joy and she taught us many things. She taught us to serve others, to love, to forgive, and to cherish each other. She loved her children, 27 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Her favorite thing in the world was to listen to her children sing. Our childhood homes were always filled with laughter and music.

In addition to raising us, she also spent time serving others in need, despite struggling herself. She always prayed for others and always was ready to give you the best hug. She spent time abroad helping to build a church, taught Sunday school, volunteered, and helped anyone in need.
