Support a Seminary Graduate get a degree in Psychotherapy

Dear brothers and sisters,

My name is Seraphim (Nathan) Reimer and I am a graduate of Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary in Jordanville NY USA,

(B.Th program, graduated in 2021) and a Reader in the Orthodox Church. I am currently pursuing my last year of University in an M.Div program specializing in counselling/psychotherapy at Tyndale University/Seminary in Toronto Ont. Canada. I have been going through student loans for two years of the three year program, but due to only needing finish the internship program in last year of my degree I was not eligible for student loans and thus could not get my last year covered. Sadly in my third year (Fall of 2023), I first put up a GoFundMe account in order for me to start internship and pursue to graduation by April 2024. But in lieu of not being able to raise the amount of money I needed due to a few unfortunate circumstances (the losing of hours at my job, and trying to recover from a stolen E-bike, **a bit more details below**), I could not do my internship in the fall of 2023. I was very grateful to everyone who donated to my first attempt on a GoFundMe, to which I raised about $2,000. But due to many life transitions and unfortunate events, I could not get enough funds to pay for the full year of my last year, and therefore I had to put it off to the winter of 2024. The funds that were raised went towards went to the school.

I attempted once again to raise the full amount money in order to start my internship in January 2024, and was able, thankfully to raise $1,088, but still did not raise enough to pay for the full of tuition of the year internship and therefore I once again I had to put off the semester. In roughly April of 2023 I decided, after receiving advice, to pursue another loan and paid off my school (combined with the funds I raised previously) in order to start my final year of university in my internship for Sept 2024 in order to graduate, and pursue a career as an addictions counselor by April 2025. Now I know longer owe my university the money, but now I owe a new loan and in much need to help pay it off as I go I hope to go full-time in school in Sept 2024. 2023, and much of 2024 has been quite difficult financially with many life transitions, and lack of employment where I live (my current job has got my hours way down due to shrinkage of business) and I am in much need. Lord willing I can get a second job or more to work on keeping myself stable as well as knock this loan debt out before it gets too pressing and a burden. Sadly I owed more than what I originally thought last year, but now that the end of the academic year is over, I have now got it all consolidated and it is more clear what need.

The total need that I am, God willing, hope to raise is $8,200 CAD ($6,000 USD) by Sept of 2024 roughly that I may focus on finally graduating and pursuing this vocation and goal as an addictions counselor.

My dear brethren, I humbly ask you, if you can, to please help in any way you can, be it financially, or (and most importantly) keep me in your prayers and share this that more can see and "get the word out". I am so close to finally graduating and clearing out such debts that I may pursue this vocation, all to the glory of God!

***In summer of 2022, I had E-Bike that was worth about 3,500$ (roughly) stolen from me as I was at work about a year ago, and justice has yet to be resolved in this case. In turn I not only lost money initially, but as this was my only form of transportation, I had to work fewer hours relying on others. This has put me in a difficult financial situation in light of finishing my final year of grad school, even as I continue to work to cover other costs.***
