Hello!! As you all may know, my mother, Wanda (Hackman) Irby is in the fight for her life! She is a amazing mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend. I am setting this up on behalf of my family.
My mom is a wonderful mother who, after raising her three children, has been raising her two grandchildren, now 12 and 13, for the past ten years. She's also a very loving wife to her wonderful husband, Sam Irby.
In January 2016, my mom developed pneumonia which is something she dealt with throughout the years, only this time it was different. She couldn't breathe and was rushed to the hospital only to find out her right lung was filled with fluid and half collapsed. After the doctors drained the fluid and through testing found cancer cells in it, this became the beginning of her FIGHT FOR HER LIFE.
She went through exploratory surgery to find where the cancer originated. They discovered the cancer started in her ovary, spreading to her stomach and right lung......resulting to Stage four cancer in her overaies and stomach. This was a total shock to us all. My mom is currently going through extensive chemo. After these first series of treatments are completed, she will undergo surgery to remove the ovaries, cervix and tubes,  then continue on with more extensive chemo. After this, she will go through all kinds of tests to reveal her prognosis.
Her journey has been challenging---it has been a strain on not only her personal life, but her financial status as well.She needs help to fund the rising medical costs and other expenses, as she can no longer work and Sam has lost a lot of time off from his workplace to be with her and help her throughout this whole ordeal.
I set up this page to offer her as much help as possible. Any donations, however large or small, are greatly appreciated. My mom is positive, upbeat and strong despite the debilitating pain and emotional ups and downs. Even if you can't give, please keep prayers going. We're praying for a miracle.
