Help RI Surf 07 Girls Get to DPL Nationals!

This June, the Rhode Island Surf Elite Girls 2007  team is headed to Texas for the DPL (Development Player League) National Championship in Dallas. This year, the girls have had tremendous success, recently winning their division in the prestigious Jefferson Cup  in Richmond, VA.  They have earned their spot in Nationals having gone 7-1-1 in their conference scoring 19 goals and allowing only 6.  Additionally they played in the DPL Showcase in Florida in January going 3-0 and outscoring their opponents 10-1.

One big thing about this group is that there is genuine team chemistry and a family atmosphere around these girls. If they are going to Nationals in TX, they want to be able to do it as a whole group. Depending on how well they do, this trip can be anywhere from three to six nights. This format creates uncertainty for parents about how long they will need to be away from work and an added financial burden.

 

We have done several fundraisers in the past (Pizza night at Frank Pepes, Valentines Dinner, Team Gear), and we have constantly had people ask - "How can I just donate to help out". Hearing that repeatedly led us to create this GoFundMe page to help everyone on this team have the chance to compete at Nationals.
