A few weeks ago our beloved brother Ethan Sisser had to go to the emergency room because he had an excruciating headache and the left side of his body went numb and began loosing function.
They determined that he had stroke, and after getting a Cat-Scan and MRI found out that he had a large tumor in his brain. It was pushing on nerves and needed to be removed. He was takin into an emergency surgery and successfully removed the tumor. The tumor was cancerous, and the cancer was found in other parts of his brain, but has not spread to other parts of his body.
Ethan's spirit is really great considering, and he has carried a smile through the most difficult and painful experience of his life. For those of you who know Ethan, you know that he is absolutely determined, strong, sweet and wise far beyond his years. He is a true inspiration to all that know him, always showing up in a space of love and service in every moment. I have never met anyone more kind and giving.
The recovery; Ethan is remaining super positive and strong though this. His body is healing, but it will be a long road to recovery and we are inspired to help him find as much support as possible. In the next few days he will be getting the staples out of his head (60 to be exact, ouch)! The left side of his body is still not functioning properly so it has been very difficult doing any basic daily functions. He is still in a lot of pain. That being said, we all believe that he will heal much quicker than all the doctors are saying because he is young, determined, healthy and super vibrant. The doctors said it will take 9+ months to recover from this. Now that we know the cancer has spread, it could be a longer healing journey. We want to help get him all the things needed to help him heal as quickly as possible.
We are raising funds to help his recovery. His mother Linda will be receiving the funds for him through the gofundme and helping him through his healing process. We are looking to get funds as soon as possible so he can move forward with the healing treatments he needs. Ethan is one of the best friends I have ever had. Such a genuine and bright soul. You will be helping a true earth angel.
