For those of you who may not know, my cousin and friend, Captain Philip J. Dykeman, USMC was killed by a suicide bomber in Iraq in June of 2008.  Each year since his passing, 'Team Dykeman' has raised funds for scholarships for graduating seniors, including those entering the military, to honor Phil's memory.  Normally we hold an annual golf tournament and have a team of runners at varying events throughout the year - culminating with a full marathon -all  raising funds for the scholarship.  This year has obviously been a bit different.  The golf tournament was cancelled all together and many of the running events have been cancelled, as well.  I am still personally running the Marine Corps Marathon this Sunday (Oct. 25,2020)  in Phil's honor.  I will be running virtually on a course I've created here in Raleigh, NC and I will be running by myself this year.  We need your help keeping Phil's spirit alive.
