On October 31st my grandma Jackie fell ill. She was in the hospital and treated for a blood infection, multiple strokes and a heart attack. We thought we were going to lose her then. After being there over a month, she was moved to a rehab facility ... we thought we had another chance. Rehab facilities are only covered for a certain amount of time until you have to pay out of pocket. My parents had to do so... finally there was an option for hospice. We moved her to her own home... for a few days my parents and sister took turns staying the night or taking care of her all hours of the day. The fact that we reside in Ontario and my grandmother was in upland , it wasn’t easy for long term. My selfless parents decided it was best to do hospice at their home.. we had her Hospital bed set up in the living room. She had her oxygen , her medicines and her changing supplies because she wasn’t able to use the bathroom or walk on her own. My parents paid for everything hospice didn’t cover. My parents paid their own bills on top of all my grandmothers bills as well. They are amazing loving selfless humans that made my grandmas last days comfortable, amazing and perfect. They have been going over funeral expenses and even the lowest package is more than the goal I am setting. My parents have NEVER asked anyone for anything... infact, they take care of everyone else.. so I am asking from the bottom of my heart, if anyone can contribute to the services for my grandma. We will be forever thankful to anyone who would like to donate. We are in full understanding that the holidays have just passed as well. We do not expect anything , simply grateful for the support and prayers alone.
