My momma, Glenda "GG" Kellogg, passed away yesterday morning after suffering from a massive heart attack. It was sudden and unexpected. This is an absolutely devastating loss for our family and friends. We are doing everything we can to pick up and keep moving forward. She was the rock of our family and a complete joy to everyone that knew her. Momma always made sure that everyone around her was smiling. She would put herself last if it meant someone else had what they needed. She was very kind and always caring no matter the situation. You could always count on her.
Momma was a spectacular person. She loved everyone that came into her life and held nothing back when it came to helping others. Growing up, she was the mom that everyone called "Mom" and everyone came to for advice and guidance. She called all of our friends her kids and made sure no one ever went hungry or without. She worked so hard for everything we had and never turned anyone away when they were in need.
My mom was laid off back in May, as many people were, and her life insurance ended with her employment. She was on long-term disability with her company up until that point as well. She had a lot going on medically after having complications with a hip replacement surgery and there wasn't much left in my parents savings. My dad is retired and doesn't have much left after supporting my mom and himself after the layoffs.
Due to her loss of life insurance and income, and the lack of savings left at this point we need help to be able to afford the funeral expenses, burial expenses, memorial expenses, and last expenses. Anything helps and everything is appreciated greatly.
