Mayra is my friend and a very hardworking mother of 5. She has gone through so much these past couple of months, most recently her 15 year old daughter Regina being diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkins lymphoma. Regina dreams of being a model and a female leader among girls her age. This devastating news has put a pause to her dreams but she is confident that she will get through this and will navigate this journey with strength & resilience. As you might imagine, this has caused financial setbacks as Mayra has to take days off from work to be with Regina during her chemotherapy and Drs. appointments.
