Hi everyone! My name is Grayson Cathey, and I’m honored to be participating in the Kappa Kappa Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.’s “Man of the Year” Pageant at UNC Charlotte.

As part of this pageant, each contestant is challenged to raise awareness and funds for a charity that holds personal meaning. I’ve chosen to support the American Cancer Society, an organization that is deeply meaningful to me and my family.

The American Cancer Society’s mission is to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support — ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
