Support Mason's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi there, Mikayla and I are starting a GoFundMe effort to support our dear friends Zach and Courtney as they navigate the difficult months ahead.
On March 26, 2025, their baby boy, Mason Glenville Armentrout, was born, and while they were filled with joy, their journey quickly turned into a fight for his life. During delivery, Mason became stuck in the birth canal for 6 minutes, depriving him of oxygen and causing significant injuries.
As a result, Mason was diagnosed with a brachial plexus injury and Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) — a brain injury caused by the lack of oxygen. After being intubated and undergoing 72 hours of cooling therapy to prevent brain swelling, they feared for his future. An MRI confirmed severe brachial plexus birth palsy, which means he has limited to no movement in his left arm. The road ahead is uncertain, and his treatment requires us to travel far from home. They’ve learned that only a few hospitals in the U.S. are equipped to treat Mason’s brachial plexus injury. They will now need to travel out of state to one of the Shriners Hospital for specialized care.
Between frequent trips to the NICU in Reno, the need to travel to Philadelphia, and the overwhelming medical expenses, their
family is facing a huge financial burden. Courtney will be unable to return to work for the foreseeable future and they’re doing everything they can to ensure Mason gets the treatment he needs to have the best possible chance for recovery.
Your support will help them cover travel costs, medical expenses, and provide Zach and Courtney the ability to focus on their baby boy as he recovers. No donation is too small, and every bit helps more than you can imagine.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and prayers as they fight alongside their little warrior, Mason.
With love and gratitude,
