Hi everyone,
I’m starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend Haley Robbins and her sweet 4-year-old son, Jayden Grant.
Just yesterday, their world was turned upside down.
Jayden had been complaining of pain in his arm for a couple of days and barely using it. An X-ray came back normal, but lab work was ordered just to be safe. Once the results came back, around 4am Saturday morning, Haley received a text from the doctor that no parent ever expects: “Take Jayden to the ER immediately.”
Once at the hospital, further testing confirmed every parent’s nightmare: Jayden has leukemia.
From there, everything moved fast. Jayden was transferred to UNC Chapel Hill, where he immediately began receiving blood transfusions and treatment. What started as arm pain quickly became a life-altering diagnosis.
Jayden is a joyful little boy who loves Spider-Man and monster trucks. He’s brave and already showing more strength than most adults ever have to. But no child should have to fight this battle… and no mother should have to face it alone.
Haley is a self-employed hairstylist, which means there is no FMLA, no paid time off, and no safety net. In order to be by Jayden’s side during this critical time (where she belongs), she has to step away from work. And we all know bills do not stop.
This fundraiser is to help Haley cover:
• Monthly bills
• Gas and travel costs back and forth from Wilson to Chapel Hill
• Medical expenses for Jayden
• Food, essentials, and items to help make Jayden more comfortable during treatment
• Any unexpected costs that arise during this journey
Every single dollar raised will go toward easing the financial burden in support of Jayden and Haley.
If you feel led to give, please know that no amount is too small. If you’re not able to donate, please share the post and take a moment to say a prayer. Please pray for healing, strength, peace, and protection over Jayden and his family.
We believe in a God who still performs miracles. We believe He walks with us through the hardest valleys. And we believe that community is one of the ways He shows up… they need community now more than ever.
Please consider donating, sharing, or praying.
Thank you for loving this family.
