Jacob Unrein is a 35 year old hardworking boat mechanic and soon to be father to a baby expected to be born at the end of June. Thursday, June 3rd Jake unexpectedly suffered a tragic accident while working in the engine room of a sailboat.
It is believed that the injury Jake suffered was caused by a severe electrical shock. Jake was revived twice before being admitted to a neurological Intensive Care Unit for monitoring and treatment. Jake is currently intubated and unresponsive in the ICU, leaving his beloved, 36 week pregnant, partner Lexi and her 6 year old daughter Lunabelle completely shattered and heartbroken. During what is supposed to be one of the happiest times in their life together, they are now faced with an unpredictable future.
Those who know Jake know the tremendous work it has taken to create the life he has now. Within the last year Jake has made incredible progress in his sobriety, all while not allowing it to define him and his life. He wholeheartedly dedicates his time to working on creating a better life for himself, his baby to be, and his family.
We ask for support for both Jacob and his family at this time. Anything helps, as the future for him and his family is now up in the air. All proceeds collected will go towards ongoing medical bills and the support of his family.
