Emergency Car Repairs
Donation protected
Hey all
I was really hoping to avoid this, but I am forced into a corner at the moment with really not any quick solutions or options.
Long story short...Exhaust repairs of $925 ended up finding further issues that were unexpected, specifically, the need for a new Catalytic Converter, which is a further $2500 to repair.
Though I could, technically, still drive without it, it's not suggested as it could ruin the engine long term.
Unfortunately, as the Covid crisis ruined my finances 3 years ago and I am still trying to catch up on those issues, I currently do not have enough good credit to flip into a new car at the moment as that would be another $8000 to get rid of the old car loan balance, (that's with the old car trade in).
As all good Americans at the moment, I am living paycheck to paycheck and donating plasma as well as still trying to ply a side business of my Recording, Engineering, Mastering stuff, but things are tough for everyone and these side hustles are just that. They are a dodge at best.
I will be selling other personal items from my various music dvd/ memorabilia collections but that will take time, of which I do not have a lot of.
Without a car to get to my current job, I am dead in the water. Taking the bus is not an option for the most part.
I know I am not unique in this situation but I guess I was running on a certain amount luck until now.
...and I did not win Powerball...yes...I bought tickets and that is something I don't do.
Thanks for considering my plight and any help would be beyond my wildest hopes and dreams.
Thanks
Joe
