Stolen Camera Equipment

Hello, my name is Iffat Nur. I'm a medical student deeply invested in photography as a hobby/passion of mine.
On the night of August 12th, 2022, someone stole my camera bag out of my car, along with everything inside of it. With the camera bag, a Peak Design 30L bag ($200), I lost the following items:
-My Canon EOS R, ($1800)
-My Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 IS L lens ($2300)
-My Contax RX ($250)
-My Zeiss 35-70mm f/3.4 lens ($350)
-My Zeiss 85mm f/2.8 lens ($400)
-My laptop, a Dell XPS 13 9130 ($1700)
-A Yungnuo Speedlight ($70)
-Apurture LED Light ($90)
-Various rolls of Kodak Portra film for 120 and 35mm (~$100)
Total (not including taxes) - $7260
Total (estimating a 8% tax included) - $7840
(I obtained all prices from past orders on B&H, Amazon, or eBay)
It's a day I've had nightmares about for years, and it's been nothing short of devastating. I'm only a medical student, and as of now I have literally no source of income. For me, photography is almost a necessary escape and a means of expressivity - it's almost impossible to find me without my cameras when I go about. It's been my way of connecting with so many people over the past 6 or so years, and I can't imagine my life without photography.
Naturally, I've made a report with the NYPD for my cameras, but I am not holding my breath for them to find my gear, if they can find it at all.
I spent a lot of time thinking about how I'd get the money together for buying gear, and a few people ultimately suggested GoFundMe, so here I am. I'm not comfortable asking for donations - I spent years working to afford my cameras. The money I'm asking for is the value of everything I lost, based on what I could remember what I lost, along with associated taxes I'll inevitably have to pay. Everything you donate will ultimately replace the items that were stolen from me. Money can’t replace the many memories and photos I’ve made on my cameras, whether for myself or the world to see, but at least it can help me replace my gear and keep moving forward.
