The Young Family

In September 2018, I was diagnosed with an advanced cancer that requires immediate surgery. Luckily for myself and my family, I do have medical coverage that has (so far) covered all of my medical expenses. Because of the serious nature of this cancer and my recent experiences with treatments locally, I have chosen to do surgery and treatment at Sacred Heart in Spokane, WA. I have been unable to work for the past 5 weeks and will be on the mend for anywhere from 5 to 8 weeks following surgery (11/30/2018) when I look forward to getting back to work and getting my family back to normal. My chemo/ radiation will require traveling at least every other week for at least a few days each trip , over the span of a few months. Over the course of this illness, I have used all of my PTO, sick leave and vacation time through my job.  The finances of living have been taken care of the last month by my 17 year old daughter and a couple of generous family members.  This campaign is for traveling expenses,  gas, motels, monthly bills at home and to ensure my children don't have to feel the burden of carrying the weight alone, although I am so grateful for their help, support and love.  We are thankful, I know this is a tight time for everyone around the holidays and I  hope I can give back in some way in the future.
