Hey guys! Wow, I never even imagined I would ever be writing this. My name is Bethany Eads, I am 18 years old and I am a full-time pre-med student in Dallas. At the beginning of this year, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease,  which is an autoimmune disease that creates inflammation within my small intestine. Since it is an autoimmune disease, there is no cure but with new scientific studies, there are treatments to help with the symptoms. Recently, I had to be rushed to the ER due to severe inflammation/ infection that had caused me to almost go into septic shock. It was a scary, and painful time for me. Luckily I was able to receive treatment in time and after spending a week in the hospital, I was able to come home this past Friday. Without immediate help from the doctor's, I wouldn't have been able to walk and may not have even been alive to share this. All this being said, my family does not have insurance. My father passed away last March and my mom is the only one working (since I haven't been able to, recently) and it is impossible for us to afford continuous treatments. Each IV infusion costs between $1,500 to $2,400 and I have to get numerous immediate treatments over the next few weeks, as well as continue them indefinitely to prevent being hospitalized again. Moreover, being able to get these treatments means I can return to my daily activities such as school, church, and work. I have worked so hard to get to where I am today, and I am going to continue to fight this disease and not let it control my life. Any donation amount helps. I believe in a God who heals and restores completely, and I know that this is just a mountain I have to overcome with his help.
