SEYFL Varsity Silver Play at NYFC

Friday, October 16 the Senior Varsity Silver Team, from South Elgin Youth Football League, received word the National Youth Football Championships were offering them a spot in their tournament.   This is a great opportunity for the team to finish their memorable season.   The tournament is being held in Daytona, Florida November 25-28.  This gives families very little time to raise funds to cover the expenses of the boys.  Funds will be used to cover the housing, transportation, meals and tournament fees for the boys! 

The Senior Varsity Silver team finished the season with an unprecedented 9-0 record. The boys were not only great athletes on the field, but received many letters & compliments of good sportsmanship on the field from other communities.  The coaches have worked hard to instill in the boys  you not only need to be a good athlete on the field, but also show good sportsmanship on and off the field, keep good grades, and always look to give back to your community.  The team knows this is a great honor for the Village of South Elgin to have a team representing them in the National Youth Football Championships.

The boys would be so thankful for any doantion you can give.  They have worked so hard throughout the season to develop not only their athletic skills, but lifetime lessons they will take with them forever.  The friendships they have made can be seen on a daily basis on and off the football field.   Please help us give them the dream of a lifetime to play in the National Youth Football Championships!
