PIKUACH NEFESH!! AM YISRAEL WE PLEAD TO YOU TO PLEASE HELP US SAVE YEHUDA'S LIFE!!!!!! Yehuda suffers dangerously from mental illness, substance abuse and multiple attempted suicides. Over the last 3 years we have exhausted many different avenues and treatments to help him get better. Unfortunately, none of them have been successful thus far and he continues to dangerously spiral out of control. So far each facility has been a short term and insurance refuses to pay or keep him long enough to get better. We have reached the point that our insurance denies the claims and we ran out of funds to pay for Yehuda’s treatment. Each time Yehuda is further discharged and he is on a path more dangerous than the time before. We are dealing with the Madraigos Organization, specifically Rabbi Silver and Mrs. Werblowsky and Rabbi Shmuel Gluck the director of the Areivim Organization for the past few years. They unanimously agree that Yehuda needs the Evoke Wilderness Therapeutic Program. We searched for other ways to help him because we could not afford the cost of the recommended program. Our Rabanim encouraged us and told us about the families they knew that had the same life threatening issues that became success stories due to the participation in The Evoke Wilderness Therapeutic Program. This became a reality because of the contributions by their families and communities. However, embarrassing this may be for us there is no greater love than a parent for their child and we cannot let humiliation stand in the way of saving our son and making him healthy again. Therefore, upon the advice of Daas Torah, we appeal to you to help defray this huge burden and cost for Yehuda’s long term treatment. In order for this to be successful it has to be a continuous effort of contributions throughout the year, we urge you to make a monthly commitment to his treatment and care. Please understand that we would not be asking this of you if we had any other choice. We urge and plead that you please send this to as many friends, neighbors, family members and any one else you can think of that would be willing to give tzedekah and Maaser money to save Yehuda’s life. Our goal is to Bezras Hashem raise $550,000 which will provide a year of treatment, including the rest of the Wilderness Program and the Therapeutic Boarding School.
