PJ's Plight, A Fight Against Cancer

PJ Henning is known to many as the quiet, long haired, carpenter who frequently plays pool down at the local watering hole. To me, however, he's my step-father. A person who eased into our family over 10 years ago when he met and fell in love with my mother, Lauren. A month ago, PJ was diagnosed with a face/neck cancer called squamous cell carcinoma. Recently, he was informed that this form of cancer was rare and he is now in Stage 4. This fundraiser is to help my mother off-set the costs of living as we head into another grueling Alaska winter, while PJ focuses his strength on battling this disease through chemotherapy and radiation. Surgery in Seattle is a possibility later in the year. PJ is the sole bread winner in their family, and any amount would surely be appreciated! All funds will go directly to Lauren and PJ.
