Help Send Bucks County Locals Keegan Tawa & Seamus Belisle to Berlin!
On September 25th, Keegan Tawa & Seamus Belisle will compete as members of the U.S. team in the Ippon Cup, one of the world's premier karate tournaments, held in Berlin, Germany.
The Ippon Cup is a traditional Japanese Karate tournament which draws competetors from across the globe. This year, Tawa and Belisle, local Bucks County residents, will be travelling with one of their coaches, Rob DeAngelis, to Berlin to represent the United States, along with select martial artists from across the country.
Keegan Tawa is a 23 year old lifelong Bucks County resident, Central Bucks East graduate and Penn State Alumni. Seamus Belisle is 24, a Central Bucks West graduate and alumni of the University of South Florida. Both are lifelong practicioners of Shotokan, a traditional Japanese form of martial arts. Their instructors, Rob DeAngelis and Ed Rumick, are also Bucks County Locals, and train Tawa and Beslile at the Solebury Club, the AJKA-I East-Coast Headquarters, located in the heart of Bucks County.
We seek donations to aid with the cost of our Airfare and travel to Berlin - any amount helps! We believe that $4000 dollars will cover the majority of our travel costs between Keegan, Seamus and their coach, Rob DeAngelis.
Thank you for the support!
Additional Thanks to local Kristina Shea for her outstanding photography!Seamus taking home medals at the last Ippon Cup!
