The Ash family are taking on the huge challenge of rowing the Atlantic in December 2027 in memory of Robert, our husband and father who died in September 2023. We are raising money for Suicide&Co, a charity that supports those bereaved by suicide and who have helped us so much in our own grief journey.

There are numerous and non negotiable essentials we need to get us to the start line.

Most importantly a boat!

But also navigation, physical and mental courses, as well as critical safety training.

In 2023 the suicide rate for men in England and Wales rose to its highest in 26 years. Each year, more than 700,000 people die by suicide worldwide. That’s one life lost every 40 seconds. Robert was one.

This is clearly a fundamental part of our campaign and we thank you for giving so generously. The proceeds from the sale of the boat post our journey will be donated to Suicide&Co.
