On September 19th 2014 our dad, Joseph Obaiza, was run off the road by a stranger, a stranger with his own family and loved ones, that forgot to think about that love as he drove away from the scene, leaving our dad to fight for his life. That fight to bring our dad back continues today. 
Our dad is the smartest, hardest working man that we know and we know that he will work his hardest to walk and talk again. Even though he has dedicated most of his life to providing his children with the best the world has to offer, his insurance will only cover a fraction of the continuing costs of his care. We are here to ask you all for some help in raising money to send him to a rehab center that will help him get back on his feet, and smile that cheesy smile we have all grown to love. 
Please join us in giving our dad a chance to return to where he was before the accident. Our dad has given us so much in life, sending all of us to college and always being there for his children and his family. This campaign is only a small gesture of trying to give him back what he has given us all our lives. And please, if you have any information on this accident please reach out to us. Again the accident happened on September 19th on the 99 freeway in California, betwen the hours of 5PM and 6PM near Madera, CA. The driver at fault is a white male possibly driving a blue Acura.

We know he will get better with the help and support of you all and the people that hold him dear.
We want our dad to get better and finding the person that did this isn't about punishment or retribution. Like anyone on this earth, we believe that taking responsibilty for your actions is the only path to forgiveness.
